Motivasi bisa dianggap sebagai dorongan untuk melakukan sesuatu. Motivasi bisa bertindak sebagai bahan bakar yang memberikan Anda kekuatan untuk mewujudkan impian. Motivasi dapat membuat orang biasa melakukan tugas-tugas yang luar biasa. Individu yang berbeda merasa termotivasi melalui cara yang berbeda pula. Beberapa orang menyukai penghormatan dan memperoleh motivasi dari itu, sementara yang lain memakai uang sebagai faktor yang memotivasi. Motivasi diperlukan dalam profesional juga dalam kehidupan berkeluarga. Kita mungkin tidak menyadari betapa banyak teknik motivasi yang bisa digunakan untuk memotivasi rekan kerja, karyawan, anak-anak, diri sendiri bahkan pasangan hidup kita, untuk membuat perubahan atau untuk “berjalan” pada arah yang benar. Berbagai jenis motivasi tentunya untuk berbagai jenis orang, yang pada dasarnya terdapat 7 jenis motivasi, seperti termuat dalam Lifemojo.  1. Motivasi prestasi Orang dengan tipe motivasi ini fokus pada pencapaian tujuan. Motivasi ini membentuk dasar bagi kehidupan yang baik, memberikan motivasi kepribadian dinamis dan menghormati diri sendiri. Orang biasanya menetapkan target yang dicapai tidak terlalu sulit dalam pencapaian. Dengan melakukan ini, mereka memastikan melakukan tugas-tugas yang bisa mereka capai. 2. Motivasi peningkatan diri Jika Anda tidak mendapatkan motivasi dari luar, temukan motivasi dari diri sendiri. Motivasi diri adalah kemampuan untuk memenuhi keinginan, harapan, atau tujuan tanpa dipengaruhi oleh orang lain. Motivasi diri penting untuk mencapai kesuksesan dalam pekerjaan dan kehidupan pribadi. Menurut hirarki kebutuhan Maslow, orang memiliki kebutuhan manusia diatur dalam tangga lima langkah. Sebelum lebih tinggi tingkat kebutuhan diaktifkan, tingkat kebutuhan lebih rendah harus dipenuhi. Dalam urutan, kebutuhan bersifat fisiologis, keamanan, sosial, harga diri, dan aktualisasi diri. 3. Motivasi ekstrinsik Bentuk motivasi yang memanifestasikan dirinya positif serta negatif. Motivasi positif muncul dalam bentuk hadiah atau mengobati, dan dapat dinyatakan dalam arti negatif dengan cara memeras atau mengancam. Motivas ekstrinsik berlaku pada kedua kasus dan efektif. 4. Motivasi takut Ketakutan juga merupakan salah satu motivasi. Kita “takut” mengemudi di sisi jalan yang salah. Kita takut berjalan terlalu dekat dengan tepi tebing. Kita takut bahan kimia beracun. Ketakutan ini memotivasi kita untuk membuat keputusan yang baik soal keselamatan kita. Tapi jangan biarkan menjadi kebiasaan yang dapat mengendalikan kita. Jika kita tidak bisa melawan dengan cara positif, lakukan secara kreatif. 5. Motivasi investasi Penting untuk menginvestasikan diri secara fisik, emosional, dan finansial dalam suatu tugas. Semakin diinvestasikan dalam suatu tugas, semakin besar kemungkinan ia akan mampu melakukan pekerjaan dengan baik dan lengkap. Contohnya, jika mimpi menjadi seorang penyanyi, ia harus memiliki komitmen togal dalam mencapai tujuan ini. Ia perlu bekerja keras pada apa yang ingin dicapai. 6. Motivasi sosial Banyak orang menganggap kehidupan sosial mereka sebagai motivasi terbesar mereka. Teman-teman mereka adalah motivator terbaik mereka. Ide untuk diterima di antara sekelompok orang adalah motivasi untuk mencapai tujuan hidup. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa cenderung dipengaruhi motivasi sosial untuk melakukan tugas-tugas seperti itu untuk menyenangkan orang-orang yang mereka kagumi atau hormati. 7. Motivasi sikap Jika Anda berpikir positif, Anda bisa mencapai hal-hal yang kadang dianggap tidak realistis oleh orang lain. Sikap positif membantu Anda membangun hubungan yang kuat dan tetap termotivasi. Jika Anda memiliki tujuan dalam pikiran namun kurang motivasi, cobalah miliki sikap positif. Ini akan menaikkan motivasi Anda sendiri. Motivasi bisa datang dari orang yang Anda cintai, teman sebaya, guru, atau dari teman di komunitas. Tapi tahukah Anda siapa motivator terbesar? Anda sendiri! Anda adalah orang yang memiliki tujuan dalam pikiran dan Andalah yang harus mewujudkan mimpi. Orang yang dekat dengan Anda dan objek dari keinginan Anda hanya memberikan masukan inspirasi bagi Anda. Zat Berbahaya dalam Rokok

ZAT KIMIA

Rokok tentu tidak dapat dipisahkan dari bahan baku pembuatannya, yakni tembakau. Di Indonesia, tembakau ditambah cengkih dan bahan-bahan lain dicampur untuk dibuat rokok kretek. Selain kretek, tembakau juga dapat digunakan sebagai rokok linting, rokok putih, cerutu, rokok pipa, dan tembakau tanpa asap (chewing tobacco atau tembakau kunyah).

Komponen gas asap rokok adalah karbon monoksida, amoniak, asam hidrosianat, nitrogen oksida, dan formaldehid. Partikelnya berupa tar, indol, nikotin, karbarzol, dan kresol. Zat-zat ini beracun, mengiritasi, dan menimbulkan kanker (karsinogen).

NIKOTIN

Zat yang paling sering dibicarakan dan diteliti orang, meracuni saraf tubuh, meningkatkan tekanan darah, menimbulkan penyempitan pembuluh darah tepi, dan menyebabkan ketagihan dan ketergantungan pada pemakainya. Kadar nikotin 4-6 mg yang diisap oleh orang dewasa setiap hari sudah bisa membuat seseorang ketagihan. Di Amerika Serikat, rokok putih yang beredar di pasaran memiliki kadar 8-10 mg nikotin per batang, sementara di Indonesia berkadar nikotin 17 mg per batang.

TIMAH HITAM (Pb)

Timah hitam yang dihasilkan oleh sebatang rokok sebanyak 0,5 ug. Sebungkus rokok (isi 20 batang) yang habis diisap dalam satu hari akan menghasilkan 10 ug. Sementara ambang batas bahaya timah hitam yang masuk ke dalam tubuh adalah 20 ug per hari. Bisa dibayangkan, bila seorang perokok berat menghisap rata-rata 2 bungkus rokok per hari, berapa banyak zat berbahaya ini masuk ke dalam tubuh!

GAS KARBONMONOKSIDA (CO)

Karbon Monoksida memiliki kecenderungan yang kuat untuk berikatan dengan homoglobin dalam sel-sel darah merah. Seharusnya, hemoglobin ini berikatan dengan oksigen yang sangat penting untuk pernapasan sel-sel tubuh, tapi karena gas CO lebih kuat daripada oksigen, maka gas CO ini merebut tempatnya “di sisi” hemoglobin. Jadilah, hemoglobin bergandengan dengan gas CO. Kadar gas CO dalam darah bukan perokok kurang dari 1 persen, sementara dalam darah perokok mencapai 4 – 15 persen. Berlipat-lipat!

TAR

Tar adalah kumpulan dari beribu-ribu bahan kimia dalam komponen padat asap rokok, dan bersifat karsinogen. Pada saat rokok dihisap, tar masuk ke dalam rongga mulut sebagai uap padat. Setelah dingin, akan menjadi padat dan membentuk endapan berwarna cokelat pada permukaan gigi, saluran pernapasan, dan paru-paru. Pengendapan ini bervariasi antara 3-40 mg per batang rokok, sementara kadar tar dalam rokok berkisar 24 – 45 mg.
